Kelly recommends the Web site DailyLit. DailyLit is a Web site where you can have one or two pages of a book sent to you in your e-mail. It has plenty of kids chapter books to read, like Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. DailyLit is free, but you do have to sign up for it with your e-mail. Have fun reading!

Best of all there are lots of popular characters from movies and TV shows such as Monster's Inc and Hello Kitty.

This site is full of early literacy games and activities including word games, alphabet games, tongue twisters, and poetry. There is even a section featuring famous artists and musicians! Hear their music or see their artwork and learn more about their lives. No annoying pop-ups or ads. According to their website, the Polis-Schutz family who created Starfall, is passionate about making the world a better place, and is thrilled to have the opportunity to use the Internet to help children learn to read.

Punky Doodle's Coloring Club & Funhouse was created by Nancy L. Herndon-Robinson and Gary L. Robinson and is based on a cartoon version of their cat, Punky Doodle. It's a bright, colorful Web site that features puzzles, jokes, games, stories and coloring sheets. When you go to the home page, music will begin playing, and I couldn't find any way to turn the music off, which I found annoying. The rest of the Web site, though, is great. You could spend hours having fun on just one page of this Web site!
