Our theme for Summer Reading this year is "Be Creative @ Your Library," and what better way to show us your creativity than through art, stories and poems? You can submit your own stories and poems, and we'll post them here on JoCoKids. You can also print off our Art Submission sheet (PDF), draw any picture you want within the frame (using pencils, pens, markers, crayons, paint, peanut butter, chocolate syrup, ketchup, or whatever you like to draw with) and turn the picture in at any Library location. We'll post those to JoCoKids, too. We've already got some pictures posted, but we want more. So get cracking! Draw us some pictures! Write us some stories and poems! Show us how creative you are!

DailyLit

Kelly recommends the Web site DailyLit. DailyLit is a Web site where you can have one or two pages of a book sent to you in your e-mail. It has plenty of kids chapter books to read, like Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. DailyLit is free, but you do have to sign up for it with your e-mail. Have fun reading!
